Egle Bredikis

    Egle was born in Lithuania and studied art…

… at the Stepas Zukas collage in Kaunas. Among other disciplines, she studied leather technique and completed several monumental works in leather for interiors. She continued her education at the Vilnius Academy of Art, receiving her MFA with a concentration on tapestry design. She has designed leather panels for the prestigious Linas resort in Palanga, Lithuania as well as fashion leather items, and her rug designs have been acquired for mass production by carpet manufacturers in Lithuania.

Egle moved to Chicago in 1990 where she took part in group exhibits ( 3 solo shows ). She has also shown her work in Indiana, Washington, Japan, Canada, New York, and Houston. She has been published in the book Lithuanian Artists in North America. Egle relocated to Merritt Island in 2003 where she currently lives and works.
