Kay Williamson – Watercolors
Kay Williamson, a former elementary teacher of Brevard County Florida, took her first art lesson at the age of thirty-six. “I was hooked for life,” she says, and I incorporated art, writing and music into my curriculum.
After twenty-five years of teaching, Kay took early retirement in 1990 when she remarried. Her husband, also an artist, was into watercolor and treated her with a watercolor lesson. After that, she put her oils and acrylics away and never looked back!
Kay recently took second place in the Pen Women’s art contest for all of Florida for her watercolor “Tea and Cherries”. She’s a member of the Brevard County Watercolor Society and the Art and Antique Studio and Gallery in Eau Gallie, Florida.
Also a playwright and novelist, she’s published ten romantic suspense mysteries. (www.kaywilliamson.com)
“Music is another artistic passion,” she confided, “my husband leads sing-a-longs at nursing homes while I play keyboard.
