Margaret Culver – Art for the Modern Equestrian
Margaret Culver features acrylic paintings for the modern equestrian. These paintings are gallery wrapped and do not need frames. Her paintings can be made into coasters and/or glass cutting boards. She has appeared in newspapers, art museums, galleries, streetlight banners, and juried art shows where some of her paintings have won awards. She has studied at the Vero Art Museum and the Foosaner Art Museums in Florida, and also at the Studio in Michigan. She has studied with Internationally known mixed media painter, Frits Van Eeden and with Nationally known painter Diann Benoit. Margaret’s paintings can be found in homes around the US and as far away as Sweden and Canada. Margaret is an avid horsewoman. He career involved Foxhunting and competing in Hunter/Jumper shows. In her competitive years riding with trainer Tim Wright, she won several Medal and Hunter championships. She currently lives on a horse farm and rides her big Belgian Warmblood. Margaret’s career history has included serving as Director of the Michigan Student Film and Video Festival at the Detroit Institue of Arts for 10 years, winning a national Telly award, two local Emmy nominations, and being awarded the Michigan Media Educator award.
Margaret will be the Featured Artist at the Eau Gallery from March 6 to March 31.
