The building was constructed in 1905 by John and Nanny Lee and was called “The Queen Anne.” Now it is known as “The Mansion” and is a prominent fixture in the Melbourne area as well as a favorite go to place for food and drink. This painting is a view from the back where people love to go for drinks, to meet people and enjoy the wonderful views of the river. I’ve painted it at night, because it feels the most alive at night, filled with new stories to be made. - Original Oil Painting by David Pitts
